Learn how AI search works and build a plan to help customers find your brand in AI answers. You’ll assess your current visibility, identify what needs to improve, and use a repeatable AEO operating loop to prioritize and manage your time and efforts. The operating loop is known as SAGE, which stands for:
- Setup: Define what you want AI to say about your brand and establish a baseline.
- Analyze: Find gaps, inaccurate descriptions, and competitors appearing in your place.
- Generate: Create and improve content that can influence AI answers.
- Engineer: Turn manual work into repeatable systems and automations.
What you’ll be able to do:
- Explain how AI search changes the way people discover brands, and why AEO builds on SEO
- Describe how AI answers are generated, including query fan-out, retrieval, training data, and platform differences
- Analyze where your brand appears in AI answers, and diagnose what’s holding it back: authority, relevance, or pages AI can’t use
- Apply the AEO operating loop to define brand attributes, build prompts, and create content AI can cite on your site and across the web
- Evaluate what AI says about your brand, and interpret visibility metrics with the right level of confidence
- Coordinate with teams across your company, and make the case for AEO to leadership
- Create a finished AEO Action Plan ready for implementation
Who this course is for
- In-house marketers (SEO, content, brand, PR, demand generation) at a company of any size who need to actually do something about AI search, whether they own the whole motion or are one specialist on a bigger team.
- Marketing leaders (VPs, directors, heads of marketing) who need to set a strategy, ask for budget, and report results to the team, not just execute tactics.
- Agency professionals and consultants who need one repeatable framework to apply across many client brands, rather than a single company's specific playbook.
- Product marketers and PR/comms professionals who care specifically about how AI describes their brand, whether or not they own the technical content or SEO work.
- Sales, CS, and other customer-facing teams who field AI search questions from prospects and want the fluency to answer credibly, plus a clear picture of how their own conversations and content feed what AI says about the brand.
What you’ll need
Basic marketing or SEO knowledge helps, but isn’t required. We explain new terms throughout the course. No coding or data science experience needed.
